A story from one of our loyal readers...
As the morning fog burned off on Sunday morning, there was a little surprise among the gifts: The infamous Football Stadium Bundt Cake Pan.
“Dan, we know this isn’t on the registry, but we know you wished it was,” said Michael P. But there was a story behind the old bundt cake pan.
Dan, the 25-year-old comedian from Birmingham, was a bit sneaky during the zap-phase of registering at Williams-Sonoma. While his lovely bride-to-be was distracted by some measuring cups, Dan turned the zap gun towards the pan.
“I was laughing as I sneaked it into the list,” said Young Dan. But there would be another turn to this story.
“Honestly, I was just doing some clean-up, and didn’t know it was a football stadium-shaped,” said Lisa of her dropping the pan from the official list. However, anonymous sources claim the omission could have been “intentional.”
One source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said, “Lisa loves basketball, not football... doesn’t this seem suspicious?”
The happy couple’s enthusiasm grew as Lisa opened “her” bundt cake pan from Brian and Alex. The irony here is that Brian and Alex attended the University of Alabama. Conspiracy theorists were having a field day with this piece of information.
I'm not gonna lie, this is actually one cool piece of cookware if you must be in the kitchen on gameday. Click on the link to get the product details. Enjoy!
